Awards

1. Kalathilakam Award 
An ever rolling trophy with certificate will be presented to the girl participant who scores the highest point and meet the following criteria:
1. Won at least one prize in Talent Test 2. Won at least one prize in Talent Nite
3. Won minimum one First Prize 4. Won at least one A grade.

2. Kalaprathibha Award 
An ever rolling trophy with certificate will be presented to the boy participant who scores the highest point and meet the following criteria:
1. Won at least one prize in Talent Test 2. Won at least one prize in Talent Nite
3. Won minimum one First Prize 4. Won at least one A grade.

3. Group Championship Awards
The participant (Boy or Girl), attaining the overall highest points in each Age Group with minimum one First prize and an A Grade will be presented with Group Championship Award. 

The privilege of participating in more than 6 events is now restricted to Group 4 & 5 only. This is because the events such as essay writing Malayalam, poem writing Malayalam, short story writing Malayalam and Speech Malayalam are not available for Groups 1, 2 &3. The Balakalotsavam Committee is willing to conduct these events for Groups 1, 2 &3 provided sufficient entries are received.
To ensure equal opportunity to the participants of groups other than 4 & 5, the points/prizes/grades scored in these additional events will not be considered for deciding the Kalaprathibha and Kalathilakam Awards. But the points will be considered for the Group Championship Awards.

Note: 1. Rank points & Grade points of events will be added together to determine the highest points in all the above three cases.
2. In case of a tie for the above awards, the participant who secured maximum First prizes will be considered as the award winner. If the tie still persists, the participant who secured the maximum A grades will be selected as the award winner.
3. In the case that the Kalathilakam or Kalaprathibha also happens to be eligible for the Group Championship award, the next applicable child in the same group will be presented the group championship award. Participation in both Talent Nite and Talent test is not compulsory.
